India’s huge and growing population is putting a severe strain on the country’s natural resources, and water is the most vulnerable resource. Every rural household has drinking water supply in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis at affordable service delivery charges leading to improvement in living standards of rural communities.
Water is life, and at CTED, we find better ways to harvest it, use it sustainably and ensure natural groundwater recharge for the future.
CTED has proven its capacity to undertake projects on such huge level also where large number of manpower and high level of administration is required. Under watershed development CTED has facilitated different stakeholders on major issues like orientation training to Watershed Development Team (WDTs), Watershed Community (WCs), User Group (Ugs) & SHGs, Technical aspects in watershed management, watershed development guideline, community mobilization, Horticulture, Agro forestry – Amla fruit, dissemination of vermin culture technology, Bee keeping, Nursery Development of Medicinal & Horti Plants, Pasture Land Development, improved agriculture, income generation activities, exit protocols, etc.
JAL JEEVAN MISSION – HAR GHAR JAL
Implementing Support Agency (ISA)
Organization empanelled as Implementing Support Agency (ISA) under State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM), GoUP. We will work closely with UP State Governments to achieve the objectives “Har Ghar Jal (FHHTC)” of Jal Jeevan Mission. The Implementing Support Agency will be conduct awareness capacity building programmes, providing Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) to every rural household in various Gram Panchayat Cluster in Amethi, Sultanpur & Raebareli District of Uttar Pradesh State.
Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) - Har Ghar Jal is a water focused flagship scheme and CTED is working in 16 blocks of 3 districts of UP (Amethi, Sultanpur and Raebareli) to strengthen capacities of the Gram Panchayats and district/block level officials for effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission by training them on JJM guidelines, Village Action Plan (VAP) preparation process, water quality testing, water tarrif collection, O&M etc. Models of participatory water management are being developed emphasizing on grey water, rain water harvesting, decentralized drinking management of water schemes, retrofitting faulty toilets, water conservation and livelihood improvement in backward communities.

Capacity building of Village level institutions such as Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSCs), Water User Groups, Panchayati Raj Institutions, as well as community leaders was carried out to ensure maintenance, access and sustained security of clean drinking water to all village communities.

Jal Jeevan Mission is to assist, empower and facilitate:
District level
- In planning of strategy for ensuring potable drinking water security on long-term basis
- For creation of infrastructure to provide FHTC by 2024 to every rural household in Amethi, Sultanpur and Raebareli district;
- To plan for their drinking water security;
- To develop institutions having focus on service delivery and financial sustainability.
- In making provision and mobilization of financial assistance for implementation of JJM GPs/ rural communities
- To plan, implement, manage, own, operate and maintain in-village water supply systems;
- Capacity building of the stakeholders and create awareness in community on significance of water for improvement in quality of life;
The broad objectives of the Mission are:
- To provide FHTC to every rural household; Schools, Anganwadis, GP buildings, and community buildings;
- To prioritize quality- affected/ drought prone/ desert areas.;
- To monitor functionality of tap connections;
- To ensure ownership among community by way of contribution in cash, kind and/ or labour and voluntary labour (shramdaan);
- To assist in ensuring sustainability of water supply system, and funds for regular O&M;
- To empower and develop human resource in the sector;
- To bring awareness on significance of safe drinking water and involvement of stakeholders to make water everyone's business.

NATIONAL JAL JEEVAN MISSION
Sector Partner:
Organization empanelled as Sector Partner under Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal shakti, GoI. We will work closely with Government of India and State Governments to achieve the objectives of JJM. The Sector Partner will be arrange capacity building programmes, identify training needs, develop strategic IEC material, viz. education material, advertisement contents, etc.

WATER CONSERVATION AND SANITATION
Scientific communication for Awareness among the school students on water conservation and sanitation
Previously the implementation of the project was start with detailed survey within the selected area. Along with general awareness generation meetings, community mobilizations during which provisional selection of trainees was done. In first phase minimum 100 (maximum 150) beneficiaries was selected for Awaren ess Program which have be conducted in some suitable venue at gram panchayat level in the villages. Besides this for promotion and awareness of project using pamphlets and handbills was distributed among villagers and adjacent area. Further For use of advertisement pamphlets and handbills etc was used as per requirements. We sensitized the students/teachers/staff, family members through awareness generation programme on water and sanitation. CTED was also make the promotion with social worker, Pradhan, member’s etc. for promotion the schemes. We have conducted awareness camps on water conservation and sanitation among the school students, teachers/staff and their family members and displayed the hoarding, banners and pamphlet in their institute to promote water conservation and sanitation regularly.
