UNDER THE PROGRAMME POPI AND CLUSTER BASED BUSINESS ORGNIZATION SUPPORTED BY NABARD, SFAC AND NCDC, WE INCREASED THE INCOME OF OVER 30,000 MARGINALIZED FARMERS BY AN AVERAGE OF 22% AND FORMED 50 FARMER PRODUCER ORGANISATIONS TO ENSURE ONGOING, FARMER SUPPORT AND ENGAGEMENT.

 

Working closely with our grantee agency, we have trained farmers on improved cultivation practices. Improving crop yields is just one way we accomplish the goal of helping farmers. Together with our grantee agency we have achieved success in many areas, including how they can cut their input costs to enhance profits, reduce the use of water through drip irrigation, crop procurement and product value Addition and other water management techniques, and helping farmers for legal compliances process and hedge their risk through crop Insurance.

Cluster Based Business Organization (CBBO) under the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of Farmer Producer Organizations

Under the Central Sector scheme of DoA&FW, GoI, as a Cluster Based Business Organization (CBBOs), we have formed & promotion of 42 Farmer Producer Under Company Act and 08 Farmer Producer Under Co-operative Act supported by SFAC, NCDC, NABARD, RO Lucknow & Bhopal the. Under the project we have provided the Capacity Building, Nurturing and Overall development of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in the Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Budaun & Bareilly Districts of UP state and Rewa & Shahdol Districts of MP State.

Resource Institutions (RIs) for Promoting Farmer Producer Organization .

A large number of farmers in the region are small and marginal. Fragmented land holdings do not allow economies of scale in production. Hence, the formation of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) in the clusters has provided the members with economies of scale in purchase of inputs, processing and marketing of the produce. The FPCs are also helping farmers in getting timely and adequate credit and has improved their access to market. Today farmers are realizing better returns on their produce by selling the produce through the FPCs.

As a Resource Orgainzation (RO) we have Promoting and Technical & Institutional Support to 2100 Small & Marginal Farmers under 05 Farmer Producer Organization (FPOs) in Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Amethi & Mirzapur districts of Uttar Pradesh State.

Agri clinic and Agribusiness Centres (AC & ABC) Scheme

The ACABC scheme is being implemented by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, with NABARD acting as subsidy channelizing agency. This programme aims to tap the expertise available in the large pool of Agriculture Graduates. Committed to this programme, the CTED is providing start-up training to graduates in Agriculture, or any subject allied to Agriculture like Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Dairy, Poultry Farming, and Fisheries etc. After completing the training we are facilitating the trainees to start their own agribusiness related venture linkages with special start-up loan with NABARD Subsidy. After the training we provided free of cost handholding facilities, counseling and guidance to the trainees for one year.

 

CTED has not only been a pioneer in developing agricultural practices but has also worked towards disseminating the same to the farming community. A step in this direction is the CTED AC&ABC inaugurated on 30th April, 2018 in Amethi. The AC&ABC center organizes residential training programs (free of charges) for agriculture students from across India ensuring that the latest in farming practices is made available to the remotely located and marginal farmers at appropriate times. The institute has reached even the remotest corners of the region through its AC&ABC center. This year around 900 Agri graduate got trained in innovative agriculture practices through the AC&ABC center.

Formation and Promotion of 49 New FPO & 23 Existing FPOs under ITC-ADB

Under the Agri Business Development of ITC Limited, as a partner NGO we have formed, promotion and nutriate the Seventy Two Farmer Producer Company (49 New FPO & 23 Existing FPO) under ITC-ADB. Under the project Promotion, we have provide the Capacity Building, Nurturing and Overall development of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) on the Prayagraj, Chandauli, Gorakhpur, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Amethi, Barabanki & Raebareli Districts of UP state.
